The latest freebie from Analogueseue Sound Designs is 128 presets for the ASM Hydrasynth, that were generated
using the randomization feature. Please feel free to EMAIL me if you have any issues or suggestions.
The Hydrasynth has a fantastic option to create random
patches while limiting the level of randomization, which reels things in and
makes the randomness more playable. The entire Analoguesque Random Experiments bank of 128
patches was generated using the randomize option that draws from patches
already on the synth. While not completely random, it still generates
mostly-playable patches that are different from those it is based on. It is
not a silver-bullet patch generator and can take several tries to get a
useful sound, so editing is often required to make it playable. It is also
not a quick-fix patch generator - these 128 patches took longer to generate
than it would have to create them from scratch. However it was worth the time
because the randomization often pushes past your creative boundaries. It can
be inspiring.
