Each bank contains 128 presets except the drums, which have several hundred sounds in multiple drum banks. The samples were generated as single-cycle (or close to) waveforms to emulate analog synths, as well as short samples dithered from software specially designed for generating samples.
These sounds were sold commercially by Analoguesque Sound Designs, but are now being offered for free download.
Note: These banks do not play back properly on all SoundFont-compatable software, particularly drum banks. Unfortunaterly not all software conforms 100% to the E-Mu standard laid out in Vienna SoundFont Studio 2.3.
